Pay for GoHighLevel yearly and you get two months free, which is about 16.7% off. But there is a catch. You have to stay ten months before you save anything at all. Leave before that and you have paid more than if you had just paid monthly.
Short version
- Yearly costs exactly ten months of the monthly price. Two months free.
- You save $194, $594 or $994 a year, depending on your plan.
- You need to stay ten months before yearly is cheaper.
- The discount only covers the plan fee. Your texts and calls still cost the same.
- Been using it less than six months? Stay on monthly.
GoHighLevel annual vs monthly is an easy choice once you see the numbers. This page shows what each plan costs per year, how much you really save, where to switch, and when paying yearly is a bad idea.
The short answer
All three plans work the same way. Pay yearly and you pay for ten months instead of twelve. That is two months free, or 16.7% off.
So should you do it? Ask yourself one thing. Will you still be using GoHighLevel in ten months? If yes, pay yearly and keep the difference. If you are not sure, pay monthly. It costs a bit more, but you can walk away whenever you want.
GoHighLevel changes its pricing from time to time. The numbers here were right when we checked, but look at the live figures in your Billing area or on the GoHighLevel pricing page before you pay for a year.
How the discount works
There is nothing clever going on here. Every plan gets the same deal. The bigger plans do not get a bigger discount.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | You get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $97/mo | $970/yr | 2 months free |
| Unlimited | $297/mo | $2,970/yr | 2 months free |
| Agency Pro | $497/mo | $4,970/yr | 2 months free |
One thing the discount does not cover. It only applies to the plan itself. Texts, calls, emails and the AI features are charged on top based on how much you use, and that does not change when you pay yearly. If you send a lot of texts, that bill still arrives every month. Our breakdown of GoHighLevel monthly pricing explains what those extra charges usually come to.

Here is twelve monthly payments against one yearly payment, for each plan.
Yearly costs exactly ten months of monthly. So you need ten months, not eight, before you are ahead.
That number matters more than the discount does. Say you pay $970 up front and quit after eight months. Paying monthly would have cost you $776. So you have lost $194 rather than saved it. The saving is only real if you stay the full year.

How to switch from monthly to yearly
You do this in agency billing, the same place you change or cancel a plan. You need to be on the agency account, because none of this shows up inside a sub account.
- From the left side navigation, click Settings, then click Billing.

- Click the Subscriptions tab to see your plan and how you are being charged right now.
- Click Want to modify / cancel your subscription? to open the options.

- Click Show more so nothing stays hidden.

- Pick the plan change option and choose yearly billing for your plan. Check the total and the renewal date on the confirmation screen before you approve it.
Two things to expect. You pay the whole year up front, not spread out, so make sure you have the full amount ready. And your renewal date moves twelve months forward. Put that date in your calendar now so it does not catch you out.
If you switch partway through a month, check how the days you have already paid for are handled before you approve it. Billing screens change, so do not assume it works the way another tool does.
The risks of paying yearly
Three things to think about before you hand over a year of payments.
You might not get a refund. If you cancel four months into a year, do not assume you get the other eight months back. Ask GoHighLevel support what their refund policy is first, and get the answer in writing. This is the biggest reason to stay monthly while you are still making up your mind.
Changing plans gets messy. On monthly billing you can move up or down whenever you want. On yearly you are tied to the plan you picked. Moving to a different plan halfway through the year usually means sorting out credits with support instead of just clicking a button.
All the money leaves at once. Paying $2,970 in one go is very different from paying $297 a month. The saving is real, but so is the hit to your bank account. For a new agency, that can matter more than the discount.
Stay monthly if
- You have used GoHighLevel for less than six months. You do not know yet if you will still be here in ten.
- You are still deciding whether to move up to Agency Pro. Locking into the wrong plan for a year is an expensive mistake.
- Your client list keeps changing. Lose two clients and you might need a different plan.
- Money is tight this month. You can handle one month. A whole year is harder.
- You have not really set the platform up yet. Our beginner setup guide shows you a first week that actually tells you whether it suits you.
Go annual if
- You have been using it for six months or more and it is part of how you work now.
- You are on Unlimited or Agency Pro, where you save $594 or $994 instead of $194.
- Your clients are billed through the platform, so leaving would mean rebuilding everything somewhere else.
- You know you will be here in a year and the up front payment is no problem.
The clearest case is an agency on Unlimited with steady clients. You are going to pay for twelve months anyway, so paying for ten of them is simply better.

Common questions
How much do you save with GoHighLevel annual billing?
Two months free, which is 16.7% off. That is $194 on Starter, $594 on Unlimited and $994 on Agency Pro.
Is GoHighLevel annual billing worth it?
Yes, if you will still be using it in ten months. That is the point where yearly becomes cheaper than monthly. Quit before then and you lose money on it.
What does each plan cost per year?
Around $970 for Starter, $2,970 for Unlimited and $4,970 for Agency Pro. Each one is ten times the monthly price.
Can I get a refund on a yearly plan?
Do not count on it. Ask GoHighLevel support what their refund policy is before you pay, and get the answer in writing.
How do I switch from monthly to yearly?
On the agency account, go to Settings, then Billing, then the Subscriptions tab, then the modify link. Choose yearly billing for your plan and check the total before you confirm.
Does paying yearly make my texts cheaper?
No. Texts, calls, emails and AI are charged on how much you use them, no matter how you pay for the plan. The discount only covers the plan fee.
Can I change plans partway through a year?
You can, but it is not simple. Switching plans mid year usually means sorting out credits with support rather than clicking a button.
The verdict
Two months free is a real discount and the maths is honest. What matters is how long you stay. Yearly costs exactly ten months of monthly, so you need ten months of use before you come out ahead.
If you have been using GoHighLevel for six months or more, especially on Unlimited or Agency Pro, pay yearly. You are going to pay for the year anyway. If you are newer than that, or still picking a plan, stay monthly. The extra you pay buys you the freedom to change your mind, and that is worth more than $16 a month.
One last thing. Paying yearly only cuts the plan fee. If your bill feels high, it is usually the texts and calls doing it, and switching to yearly will not help with that.
All prices here are approximate and were correct when we checked. GoHighLevel sets its own pricing and changes it from time to time. Check the current figures, and anything about refunds or changing plans mid year, in your Billing area or with support before you commit.
